City Harvest's 30-30-30 Campaign is our response to the record demand for emergency food in New York City.
The 30-30-30 Campaign, launched in April 2012 to implement our five-year strategic plan, is helping us do more for our hungry neighbors at a time of great need. Nearly 1.4 million New Yorkers do not know where their next meal will come from. In response, City Harvest made the commitment to achieve two ambitious goals:
• Double the amount of food we rescue and deliver to provide 50 to 60 million pounds of food for hungry New Yorkers by 2016.
• Expand our Healthy Neighborhoods initiative to all five boroughs, to support and inspire healthier eating for hundreds of thousands of low-income New Yorkers.
Campaign Update: Now in the fifth and final year of the Campaign, we have achieved 93% of our $30 million goal by securing $28 million in gifts from individuals and institutions who strongly believe our mission to end hunger in New York City
Thanks to your support, the past four years marked a period of unprecedented growth for City Harvest. Yet, there is still work to be done. To successfully close the campaign, and make our vision a reality for hungry New Yorkers, we need your help to secure an additional $2 million towards our remaining program goals.
Read these testimonials from some of the individuals and organizations who have already stepped up to support our work feeding hungry New Yorkers.
Our thanks to those visionary individuals who have already made their commitments to the 30-30-30 Campaign. This Campaign will succeed because of the generous support of donors like those listed here who believe in our work.
Now is the time to make a very real difference in the lives of the people City Harvest helps to feed.
