City Harvest Human Resources Department is seeking an unpaid Human Resources Intern to work in our midtown office. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in pursuing a career in the field of Human Resources. The ideal candidate will gain knowledge about the recruitment and staffing process; learn how to screen resumes; conduct research on HR related topics and activities; and the handling of an array other related HR projects.
• Assist with new hire orientation
• Assist with recruiting and staffing
• Prepare new hire and benefits packets
• Assist with employee filing system
• Assist with administrative duties as needed
• Maintain inventory of human resources documents and supplies
• Attend ongoing educational opportunities (i.e., supervisory training sessions; brown bag lunches)
• Special projects as assigned
• Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration and/or Organizational Psychology
• Student must have completed sophomore year of studies
• Strong Microsoft office computer skills; including strong knowledge of Excel
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Strong attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
• Able to follow-through and meet deadlines effectively and efficiently
• High integrity and confidentiality
• Experience working in a fast-paced office environment
• A commitment from July 1 through September 2010

• Minimum of 20 hours per week – (hours of work negotiable)
