City Harvest proudly acknowledges Hour Children Food Pantry as our Agency of the Month! Hour Children Food Pantry has been receiving deliveries from City Harvest for nearly a decade. Hour Children is a client-choice, supermarket-style food pantry located in Long Island City, Queens.
In 2012 Hour Children Food Pantry partnered with City Harvest to create the Queens Action council, whose goal is to strengthen the voices of the residents of Queens to build a more fair and sustainable food landscape. This past summer Hour Children Food Pantry took part in City Harvest’s “Summer Sides and Healthy Dips” Series, where volunteers showed clients how to make healthy dips that were budget friendly.
Please join us in thanking Hour Children Food for their generosity and dedication to the people of New York. Join us again next month to learn about another incredible emergency food program with whom City Harvest works in New York City!
