sweetgreen and wastED (a project of Blue Hill) are collaborating on the wastED salad, which is created with ingredients within the supply chain that typically aren’t used – broccoli leaf + stalks, kale stems, etc. – but are in fact perfectly edible and delicious. The salad is available in sweetgreen’s NYC locations as a special addition to the late summer seasonal menu. 50% of net proceeds of the salad will be donated to City Harvest.
