- Hunger in NYC
- Donate Food
- Donate Funds
Thanks to the extraordinary efforts of our littlest fundraisers, this year’s Truck or Treat campaign raised more than ever before reaching an unprecedented total of over $38,000, enough to help feed more than 50,600 families in New York City. These donations will help keep our trucks on the road day and night, rescuing good food that would otherwise go to waste and delivering it to soup kitchens, food pantries and other community food programs across the city.
We would like to recognize the Top 5 teams of 2015 — thank you to everyone for their part in realizing this incredible accomplishment!
1. The Buckley School
2. The Brearley School
3. The Chapin Lower School
4. The Nightingale-Bamford School
5. Trevor Day School
We’re excited to send these teams copies of Newbery Medal-winner Katherine Applegate’s Crenshaw, generously donated by Macmillan Children’s Publishing Group.
We hope to see you all again next year!
Truck or Treat is City Harvest’s fall fundraiser that empowers kids to fight hunger by collecting coins and bills in support of our work. Every $1 raised helps City Harvest rescue and deliver enough good food for four people for a day. Each year, schools, classrooms, families and companies join the campaign to remind us that when many people come together, we can have a big impact. There’s no trick to it.
