- Hunger in NYC

- Donate Funds
While New York City is one of the most vibrant economic hubs in the world, nearly 20% of New Yorkers currently live in poverty, struggling to afford basic necessities like rent and food. In fact, City Harvest’s network of soup kitchens and food pantries has seen 1.3 million more visits since last year.
During the holiday season, we encouraged our supporters to help Feed Our People, to ensure that all New Yorkers have access to good, nutritious food. Thanks to your generosity, we collected over one million pounds of food in the Daily News Food Drive, distributed 180,895 pounds of turkey, served an average of 425 households at each of our Mobile Markets, and logged over 13,000 hours of donated time from our volunteers.
Thank you to everyone who donated funds, collected food and volunteered their time to help us get food to our neighbors in need over the holiday season.
