Programs

City Harvest programs bring fresh, nutritious food to communities across the five boroughs, free of charge, to help feed New Yorkers who are experiencing food insecurity. For 40 years, we have worked to feed our city, one day, one meal, and one New Yorker at a time.

For 40 years, we have worked with food donors, community food programs, community residents, local businesses, and other community organizations in high-need neighborhoods across New York City to make it easier for residents to access and prepare nutritious food for themselves and their families

Food Rescue & Delivery

Since helping to start the food rescue movement in 1982, we have rescued and delivered over 1 billion pounds of food that would have otherwise gone to waste to help feed the more than 1.5 million New Yorkers in need.
