Mobile Market

imageMobile Markets are open-air, bimonthly distributions of fresh fruits and vegetables free of charge to residents of New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) programs at sites in the Bronx and Staten Island. About 600 attendees participate each month, with regular users reporting that they receive 30 to 50% of their recommended daily allowance of fruits and vegetables from City Harvest. Community residents volunteer to staff each market.

The food prices are so high, you know, you can barely make it. So this City Harvest is like a blessing to the community, it really is.
