Linda Ann Furman was born in the Bronx and worked at Mt. Sinai Hospital as a social worker. She volunteered at City Harvest, Central Park Zoo, and literacy organizations where she taught English. Linda had a passion for putting nutritious food on the tables of New Yorkers in need. Linda both made City Harvest the beneficiary of her retirement account and made a bequest. She made it possible for City Harvest to rescue and deliver more than one million pounds of nourishing food and deliver it for free to our NYC neighbors in need.
