Delivering Together for NYC
The Cohen Community Food Rescue Center
Since 2022, our warehouse in Sunset Park, the Cohen Community Food Rescue Center, has served as the hub of our operations. Originally built in 1890, the building has been updated to support our expanding work and increase the amount of food we can rescue and deliver to New Yorkers in need.
Warehouse
With 57,000 square feet of warehouse space, we have twice the warehouse space compared to what we had at our previous warehouse, with 1,100 pallet positions in the dry warehouse.
Cold Dock
We have seven loading bays—four more than our Long Island City Food Rescue Facility—and a cold loading dock to keep produce fresher for longer.
Loading Dock
The 22,000 sq.ft. parking lot is where we park our fleet of 23 food rescue trucks that are on the road seven days a week.
Repack Room
In our 10,000 sq.ft. Repack Room, which is 40% larger than the Repack Room in Long Island City, we are engaging volunteers from across the city who are repacking food into family-sized bags to ease distribution to families across the city. Last year, nearly 9,000 volunteers helped repack more than 2.6 million pounds of food for our neighbors in need.
