All. Hands. In.
September Is Hunger Action Month.
This Hunger Action Month, we’re asking for your help to make sure all New Yorkers have access to fresh, healthy food.
The need for food in New York City continues to outpace pre-pandemic levels. This year, we will rescue and deliver more than 77 million pounds of perfectly good food and distribute it, free of charge, to more than 400 food pantries, soup kitchens, and community programs across the five boroughs.
Read on to learn how you can take action.

Support our AAPI + Allies Repack in Honor of Hunger Action Month
This year, City Harvest is hosting a special volunteer opportunity to benefit our AAPI neighbors in need during Hunger Action Month. Volunteers will repack Asian food staples into family-sized bags that can easily be distributed to an agency partner serving the AAPI community. Corporate and individuals will come together to volunteer and raise funds to secure food, like rice, that are often challenging to get donated. Email Erika Martinez, Associate Director of Business Partnerships, to make a donation in support of the AAPI+ Repack.
