Feed Our Kids Food Drive

City Harvest’s annual Feed Our Kids Food Drive runs each year from Mother’s Day to Father’s Day (May 8–June 19, 2022) and helps provide much needed food for New York City’s children and their families, especially during summer, when access to free school meals may become limited.

With one in every four children in our city now experiencing food insecurity, the need is especially high. Join us and help ensure shelves at community food programs across the city are stocked for children and their families this summer. Last year, we were able to collect over 180,000 pounds of food.

This year, there are a number of ways you can get involved.

HOW TO RUN A TRADITIONAL (IN PERSON) FOOD DRIVE

Running a food drive is easy! Our digital tool kits provide you with all of the materials you will need to run your food drive, including instructions, tips, flyers, and posters.

HOW TO RUN AN ONLINE FRESH FOOD DRIVE

We’ve partnered with #GiveHealthy, a platform that allows participants to order fresh produce and healthy non-perishables to be delivered directly to the City Harvest warehouse. Start your online food drive today!

DROP-OFF LOCATIONS

We have partnered with the FDNY and NYPD to serve as public drop off sites around the five boroughs. Donations of 100 pounds or less, can be dropped off at these sites.
